RTR CONSULTING LLC dba Rocky the Roofer headquartered at 503 Cunningham CT Peachtree
City, Georgia 30269 phone number: 407-429-8970, is looking to fill twenty-five (25) Roofer positions
from 03/01/2024 to 11/30/2024. This is for full-time, peak-load temporary employment. Duties
include, as roofers, workers will cover roofs of structures with shingles, slate, asphalt, aluminum,
wood, or related materials, and may spray roofs, sidings, and walls with material to bind, seal, insulate,
or soundproof sections of commercial or residential structures. Workers will repair roofing systems by
removing old roofing materials, performing waterproofing, applying new metal to structure, and
shingling other materials. Workers will use roofing hammer, hatchet, air compressor, roofing blade,
utility knife, roofing shovel, shingle tear-off tool and other roofing-related hand tools. Workers will
also use their hands and arms in handling, installing, carrying, loading, and unloading materials.
Workers will remove water or debris from roofs and set up scaffolding to provide safe access to roofs.
Workers will pour concrete and level slabs on roofs, when working at heights the worker will use safety
equipment such as anchors, harnesses. The worker should adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines.
Must have three (3) months of roofing or related experience. Must be able to lift to 50 lbs. throughout
the day. Worker must be comfortable with heights. Worker must be able to pass post-employment
random employer-paid drug testing.
The pay is $20.30 per hour up to $28 per hour with overtime available at $30.45 per hour up to $42
per hour, based on hourly rate. The schedule is 40 hours per week from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday
to Saturday. Returning workers and workers with experience may be paid higher wage rates. Job
opportunity is a temporary, full-time position. Daily travel to worksites in the area of intended
employment is required. The requested temporary workers will be based at 4066 Silver Star Rd
Orlando, FL 32808 and will service clients within the Orlando-Kissimmee-Sanford, FL, including the
counties of Orange County. Employer provides transportation to and from all worksites.
Single workweek will be used in computing wages due. Pay period is Weekly. Employer will make all
deductions from the worker's paycheck required by law. Employer will provide optional housing at a
weekly payroll deduction of $100. The offered housing is optional to workers. Transportation,
including meals and, to the extent necessary, lodging, to the place of employment will be provided, or
its cost to workers reimbursed by a company check, separate from the payroll check, if the worker
completes half of the employment period. If the worker completes 50% of the work contract period,
employer will arrange and pay directly for transportation and subsistence from the place of recruitment
to the place of work. Upon completion of the work contract or where the worker is dismissed earlier,
employer will provide or pay for worker's reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence
back to home or to the place the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not
return due to subsequent employment with another employer. The amount of transportation payment
or reimbursement will be equal to the most economically and reasonable common carrier for the
distance involved. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of $15.46 per day during travel to a
maximum of $59.00 per day with receipts. Reimbursement in the first work week for all visa, visa
processing, border crossing, and other related fees, including those mandated by the government,
incurred by the H-2B worker (but not included passport expenses or other charges primarily for the
benefit of the worker). The employer will provide worker, at no charge, all tools, supplies, and
equipment required to perform the job and on the job training in the proper use of tools and equipment.
The employer guarantees to offer work for hours equal to at least three-fourths of the workdays in each
12-week period only to the extent that this guarantee is enforced by the Department of Labor. As of
the date of this posting, the three-fourths guarantee is not enforced.
